Transactional Analysis Action Learning Sets
Action Learning Sets provide the opportunity for continuous professional development. They can stand alone as a means for group problem solving, or they can underpin a management development programme, thus ensuring maximum learning and development. Their use also means that the learning is transferred in a most effective way to the workplace. Using the framework of Transactional Analysis, participants will increase their understanding of the concepts and tools in a very practical, applied manner.
Working in closed groups, live problems are analysed using the TA framework. There will be opportunities to refresh and deepen the learning, with the practical outcome of solutions identified and problems solved. A maximum of 8 participants per group, in order to create a positive and challenging atmosphere.
Other benefits are greater confidence in dealing with conflict in a strong and positive way, greater collaboration and co-operation across teams and improved communication. On a personal basis, confidence, self esteem and effectiveness will be increased.
One day per month for six months.

How can you grow your people? How can you support them in such a way that your organisation gets the maximum amount of value out of the development programmes you have invested so much effort and cash into?
One of the most beneficial, practical and rewarding ways is to run a series of Action Learning Sets.
Many excellent development programmes do not give value for money because the learning is not underpinned in any way. The participants are offered different experiences from which to learn, theories to absorb and apply, new concepts to take on board, and at the end of a four or a six day programme or whatever, they are cast adrift – often without the support in the workplace that they need in order to transfer the learning.
Lynda Tongue at Triangle Partnership passionately believes in the potential of individuals and feels that much of that potential is squandered – a crying shame when it is so easy for both the organisation and the individual apply and benefit from the learning.
Action Learning Sets give participants the opportunity to use their experience and new knowledge, and then to apply it in a very real way to the problems they are facing. What are we discounting? What Life Position are we using? How are we getting in our own way?
Meeting on a monthly basis, the group use the tools they have been taught to analyse and solve problems.
The groups have 6 – 8 participants, and they meet for 2 – 3 hours on a monthly basis in order to encourage and support each other in their efforts to transfer the learning. Using the framework of Transactional Analysis, a successful communications tool, Lynda will teach the group the concepts which will enable them to solve their people problems – and will become part of their leadership style for the future.
