Coaching
“When working with me, clients can expect a supportive space to develop their thinking, positive challenge, and a rigorous framework for development without imposed agendas”.
Lynda Tongue FCIPD, DTM, CTA (O), PTSTA (O)
Lynda believes that coaching is a future-focussed enabling process which facilitates positive change. In plain language it helps the client to learn how they might be getting in their own way and how they might change their behaviour to get a different result. Lynda works within organisational systems, and so clients can expect to be challenged and supported while they gain insight and discover options for action to improve their effectiveness as individuals, but also to the wider organisational context.
Her coaching philosophy rests on fundamental beliefs such as everybody can think and everybody can change given the right tools and support. Lynda’s coaching principles: • work with clients to enable them to develop themselves, and not to create a dependency • people at all levels of an organisation benefit from the power of coaching • positive regard recognises individual and organisational strengths and asks “What else?” “What more?” • organisations are made up of individuals: strengthen the individual and the organisation benefits • a systemic approach to coaching will reap the greatest rewards • coaching increases competence through confidence • when people are confident they are motivated, creative problem solvers
